Founded in 2003, Yichang Thunip Three Gorges Water Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the investment, development, construction, operation and maintenance of water supply and its supporting projects.
Three Gorges Water has three water supply plants with a capacity of 360,000 m3/d. The company's water supply pipeline network is more than 1,000 kilometers long, with a water supply area of about 90 square kilometers, providing water supply services to nearly 700,000 people in the main urban area of Yichang City. The main source of raw water of Three Gorges Water is taken from Guanzhuang Reservoir in Huangbai River Basin, and there are also backup water sources such as Dongshan Canal, etc. The quality of water in the reservoir reaches the national “Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water” (GB3838-2002), which is above Class II, and the quality of water supplied is better than that of the national “Hygienic Standard for Domestic Drinking Water” (GB5749-2022).
